About us

We moved to the countryside with our kids for a little adventure, renovating a former boarding school into a place that welcomes guests and leaves a mark.

The location is pristine yet central to every North Iceland visit; the property is right by the Arctic Coast Way and the Diamond Circle. Thanks to recent road improvements, connecting us to the Ring Road, we can offer a unique stay away from the crowds without a detour.

Some people come just for the food, and that is alright as well. Check out our bistro Grös, open from May – October, with locally sourced dishes and vegetarian ambition.

See you at Skúlagarður,
